Healing Threads: A Prayer Shawl Ministry
2nd Mondays at 7:00 pm. offsite
We meet monthly on the 2nd Monday at 7:00 p.m. to knit or crochet together as a spiritual community and to bless the completed shawls. During the month, participants will work on their individual shawls. Completed shawls will be offered to two groups: 1) UUCC members who have suffered a significant loss or who are experiencing a challenging physical or medical situation and 2) the Levine Dickson Hospice House where there is a need for prayer shawls from a liberal religious group. Contact: Kathleen Moloney-Tarr, email@example.com.
Sundays, 8:00 a.m.
Lotus Path is a member-led discussion group that explores Eastern religious beliefs, philosophies, and meditation techniques.
Using different sources, from ancient readings to modern-day interpretations, we consider Eastern worldviews of Chinese Taoism, various forms of Buddhism, etc. The ideas we encounter can challenge or enhance our modern Western assumptions of how we act, what we perceive as moral, and how we practice.
Every session contains meditation. Our meditation practice includes, but isn’t limited to: mindfulness, visualization, and guided meditation.
Group members are encouraged to lead a discussion and/or meditation of their choice. Just bring your open mind Sunday mornings from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. in the Priestley Room. For more information contact Edie Gelber-Beechler at firstname.lastname@example.org

Sunday Morning Meditation
Sundays, 8:15 – 9:00 a.m.
Sunday Morning Meditation is in the secular Buddhist tradition of Insight Meditation or Vipassana, with lessons based on the teachings of the historical Buddha, considered the first ‘great psychologist’.
We meet from 8:15 – 9:00 a.m. in the Schweitzer room, located in the back hall behind the kitchen. The meeting includes a short lesson/sharing, then a 25 minute silent meditation after 5 minutes of guidance. Meditation experience is not necessary. All are welcome!
