Open Door Camps are a part of Open Door School and as such follow NAEYC guidelines. Progressive Philosophy and Positive Discipline will be implemented, with a focus on conflict resolution skills and creative thinking.
Each day will include outside time on our beautiful shaded playgrounds, center-based free choice, open-ended art projects, and music. There may also be opportunities for cooking, woodworking in our real woodshop, yoga, and more.
Progressive curriculum is left loose so that it may be adjusted to the children’s interests.
Our 2013 Camps are full.
We do keep waiting lists in case a space comes open. If you would like your child to be added to a waiting list, contact the Open Door School office at 704-364-1521.

Some quotes from last year's camp parents:
"The freedom to choose activities and have plenty of outdoor play was ideal for my daughter."
"He had a blast! He never wanted to leave and was always super excited to go back!"
"My daughter came home saying she made lots of new friends. She loved all of the different materials to use for art and she loved her teachers! I love the way the camp encourages using your imagination and creativity, and learning to work together."
"Both of my children loved camp and wanted to go more."
"Fabulous teachers."
Open Door Camp is open to the public. We hope your child will join us!
