Support Groups and Gatherings

Preschool Parent Group

Affectionately known as the “PooP” Group, parents of preschoolers meet to discuss their challenges and share advice and resources. Meets third Fridays at 6:00 p.m. in Freeman Hall. Contact: Greg Schropp at schg02@aol.com.

Straight Spouse Support Group

This group provides personal, confidential support to straight spouses or partners, current or former, of gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender mates and mixed-orientation couples. We meet in the library on the first Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. If you would like more information about this group, contact Sage Brook at 704-366-7983.

Women’s Group

This social and support group is a way to connect on a deeper level with other women of all ages. Meets every second Tuesday in the Priestley room. Occasional meetings at individuals’ homes. Please bring a snack to share. Contact: Karen Achor, 704-847-2081, leialohaa@yahoo.com.
