Get Acquainted

We offer several ways for visitors to get acquainted with our members and staff and to ask questions about our church. When you arrive for a Sunday morning service, please look for the visitor table near the staircase in our main lobby. Our greeters will be there to assist you. They will invite you to pick up a name tag before the service.

Get acquaintedConnect After the Service

Each Sunday visitors and members are invited to gather in our fellowship hall, across the vestibule from the sanctuary, to enjoy refreshments, browse the bookstore and learn more about our church activities. Most activities throughout the year are open to members and non-members alike.

Meet the Minister

We invite visitors and new members to chat with our Senior Minister, Jay Leach, between services on the third Sunday of each month. Grab a cup of coffee or tea in the fellowship hall and go downstairs to the Bernstein Room off the main lobby for this brief and informal discussion. These sessions typically begin at 10:30 a.m.

Ask Us Questions

We offer small-group “Getting to Know Us” sessions on the first Sunday of the month after both services, also in the Bernstein Room downstairs from the sanctuary. This is an informal, drop-by setting, where you can get acquainted with a member of our congregation and ask some specific questions about the UUCC.

Take a Class

Our “Discovering the UUCC” class is offered quarterly and facilitated by our Membership Coordinator, Kelly Greene, and our Senior Minister, Jay Leach. This informative session covers our philosophy, history, programs and organization. Along with 10 to 20 other participants, you’ll learn about our diverse religious heritage and what common beliefs Unitarian Universalists share. You’ll meet some of our church leaders, and you’ll hear about our Children and Youth Religious Education program. Breakfast and childcare are provided. The date and time of each of these sessions is publicized in the Sunday Order of Service, at the visitor table in our fellowship hall and in Currents, our weekly newsletter.
