We know that our limited parking is a problem, especially on Sundays. As an act of welcoming and hospitality, please reserve the parking lot for those who need easy access to our building and for our visitors (who have designated “Visitor Only” parking spaces).
In case you were not aware, there are three alternatives to parking in the lot. There are two parking lots up the staircase to the left of the traffic circle. We have permission to use the lot adjoining ours and the Cotswold Marketplace lot. Entrances to both are on Sharon Amity Rd. There is also on-street parking along Hardwick and Gaynor Roads in the neighborhood. Please be respectful of our neighbors who’ve expressed distress to us in the past about cars parked on their grass, cars parked too close to driveways, as well as cars parked too close to the intersection of Gaynor and Hardwick.
To ensure that we are being neighborly and to keep the area safe for driving, please remember the following when coming to the UUCC and using overflow parking in the neighborhood:
- Park on the right side of the road only to allow for two way traffic. It is a fire hazard to block two way traffic by parking on both sides of the road.
- Do not park on the grass or block the driveways of our neighbors.
- Do not park close to the intersections. This blocks the line of sight and is illegal. Please use the posted city signs that shows parking limits near the intersections.
These rules are for the safety and convenience of everyone who uses our facility. Thanks for doing your part to keep us safe and neighborly.
